Belfort-Montbéliard University of Technology

UTBM trains engineers to be rapidly operational, and particularly adaptable to changes in technology and society. Its training programs are supported by research and development activities.

Created in 1999, UTBM is a public scientific, cultural and professional institution. A member of the network of universities of technology, it was born of the merger of two higher education establishments: the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Belfort (1962) and the Institut Polytechnique de Sevenans (a branch of the UTC established in Sevenans in 1985). UTBM is directed by Ghislain Montavon, and its Board of Directors is chaired by Jean-Charles Lefebvre.

UTBM is a founding member of theUniversité Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
UBFC is a Community of Universities and Establishments with around 56,000 students, located in central-eastern France and spread over 22 sites. It was created on April1, 2015 by decree published in the Journal Officiel on March 11, 2015.

This combination is a powerful lever for boosting the attractiveness of our products and services. ubfcby stimulating the socio-economic and cultural development of the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region. Its ambition is twofold: to provide a local, high-quality public service, and to raise its national and international profile, notably by supporting large-scale structuring projects such as the I-SITE BFC project.
